Get Involved

Education Committee:

The main objective of this committee is to identify topics on which the MBA membership would benefit from educational programs. This committee will work to develop educational programs based on typical issues relevant to the MBA by securing the speaker, venue and other program details.

Community Outreach Committee:

The main objective of this committee is to represent the MBA in events, opportunities, and functions in which the MBA has the opportunity to promote the MBA and/or its members. This committee will work to regularly create and present a quarterly press release in conjunction with the RHBA and GRAR of industry related information and consumer information. All charitable requests for sponsorships will be filtered through this committee.

Membership Committee:

The main responsibility of this committee is the retention and recruitment of members by organizing and implementing membership programs and events. This committee will work alongside the Executive Secretary to maintain membership lists and non-member lists to assist in initiatives to expand membership, and maintain event attendance records and understand trends in event participation. This committee is also in charge of members joining a committee, if interested in learning more about our committees contact our Membership Committee Chair.

Networking/Special Events Committee:

The main objective of this committee is to provide social opportunities that foster networking and add value to the MBA membership. This committee will work to expand MBA’s exposure to its own membership and other industry networking/educational groups. This committee is also for coordinating and executing all aspects of the Annual Golf Tournament. This committee may also be responsible as necessary for special events that may take place throughout the year such as the GRAR Agent’s Fair.

Website/Technical Committee:

The main responsibility of this committee is to develop and maintain the MBA’s website, www.mbarochester.com to be a viable and useful resource showcasing the MBA and membership value. This is accomplished through managing and creating content that is accurate, timely, and beneficial.
